The village of Beaumotte-Aubertans lies between the town of Vesoul and the capital of the Franche-Comté region, Besançon. In Vesoul, we recommend a visit to La Motte, for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding plain, the Vosges, the Jura and even the Alps. We also recommend a visit to the old centre of Vesoul and the Solborde cave (at Echenoz la Méline).
Besançon is a city renowned for its architectural wealth, with its Vauban citadel and underground passageways a must-see. You should also visit the following sites: the Cathedral’s Astronomical Clock, the Museum of Time, Parc Micaud and Parc de la Gare d’Eau… So many ideas for visiting this sublime region full of history !

High rope Acro’cimes at THIENANS or RIOZ: an activity for all the family from age 3 upwards.
Fondremand is famous for its castle, which is listed as a Historic Monument. The 11th-century keep and ramparts are among the oldest buildings in the region. The stables date from the 18th century.
Water sport center : Come aboard a canoe or kayak to discover the flora and fauna of the Ognon at MONTBOZON.
The blast furnace of the Montagney forge can be visited free of charge by prior appointment at the Rioz Tourist Office.
Whether you’re with family or friends, take one of the 3 available routes and discover the natural, cultural and built heritage of the Pays des 7 Rivières. 3 loops of 11, 18 and 23 km. Follow the blue rail signposts, departing from Lac de la Faïencerie in Rioz.
